  4. Application must be filed with the City Secretary at least ten (10) working days prior to the date of contemplated sale: City Secretary – 926 Loop 332, Liberty Hill – Bzwernemann@LibertyHilltx.gov

    Application is hereby made for a Peddlers and Solicitors Permit to engage in TEMPORARY or TRANSIENT business in the City of Liberty Hill for the purpose of selling or exhibiting goods or merchandise upon the property of another, as provided for in the City of liberty Hill Code of Ordinances.

    30-Day Permit: $25.00             One-Year Permit: $100.00

  8. BEFORE PERMIT SHALL BE ISSUED, THIS APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE FOLLOWING

     Written consent from the property owner or authorized agent to grant consent for use of such private property.
     Site plan of subject property indicating where the vendor will be located in relation to the property lines, adjacent right-of-way, adjacent buildings, and the location of two 9x18-foot on-site parking spaces with a 20-foot backup lane.
     Description of devices used for the display or storage or advertisement of articles offered for sale by vendor. These devices must be located at least ten (10) feet away from all other property lines adjacent to a street. ALL STANDS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY ON WHICH BUSINESS IS CONDUCTED EACH DAY.
     An original Sales Tax Permit issued by the Controller of the State of Texas.
     Written permission from the property owner for extended parking.
     A copy of valid Texas Liquor License, if applicable.
     A copy of Health Inspection Report if you are selling foods intended for human consumption.
     A statement showing the kind and character of the goods, wares, or merchandise to be sold, offered for sale, or exhibited.
     A certified copy of the Charter if you are a corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas.
     A certified copy of your permit to do business in the state of Texas if you are a corporation incorporated under the laws of another state.

    A permit shall be issued only after all of the above provisions have been met and a permit fee has been paid. The permit will not be transferable nor give authority to more than one person to conduct business as an outdoor vendor. Note: Each person who solicits door-to-door must possess a solicitor’s permit.

  9. THIS PERMIT IN NO EVENT SHALL BE CONTINUED FOR MORE THAN ONE CALENDAR YEAR.

    This permit must be displayed in a conspicuous location. Failure to comply with any regulations shall result in the immediate closure of the vendor’s temporary location and shall be considered a Class C Misdemeanor. Any person violating any of the provisions of this application shall be fined an amount of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense.

  10. Please note that a copy of the application for permit will be referred to the Chief of Police. An investigation of the applicant’s record and background such as shall be reasonably necessary to protect the public may be conducted. An application for permit may be reasonably denied if the applicant is currently wanted on warrant for arrest, or if the applicant has been convicted of a felony involving theft, fraud, bribery, or perjury.

  11. APPLICANT CERTIFICATION

    I hereby certify that I have read and examined this application and know the above responses to be true and correct. All provisions of the laws and ordinances governing the business of being a peddler and vendor will be met whether specified or not. I understand the granting of a permit does not presume to give authority to violate or cancel provisions of any other local or state law regulating such activities.
