Roundabout is Open

The downtown roundabout is 95% complete, and is now open to traffic. 

Proper NavigationSlow your vehicle to a comfortable speed, 10mph-15mph, prior to the roundabout. 
Look to your left for oncoming, circulating traffic already in the roundabout. As a motorist, you need to yield to other traffic that is already present within the roundabout.
Enter the roundabout only when there is a safe and adequate gap in traffic. Roundabouts are not intended to operate under a “merge” condition like an interstate ramp.
Do not stop once in the roundabout. Incoming vehicles will yield to you.
Future Main Street Construction 

Right turn lanes will be added in both directions on Main Street at the Main Street/RR 1869 traffic signal. This construction will take place mid-December and will assist with traffic backup.
