Terms
Council members are elected "at-large," each representing the entire community, and each serving two-year terms. The MAYOR, ALDERMAN PLACE 2 and ALDERMAN PLACE 4 terms expire May 2020. ALDERMAN for PLACE 1, 3 and 5 expire May 2021.
Qualifications
Qualifications for Office:
- All candidates for office must be citizens of the United States
- Must have lived in the state for a minimum of one year prior to the filing deadline
- Must be a resident of the City of Liberty Hill for six months prior to the filing deadline
- Must be a registered voter of the city as of the filing deadline
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
