The Texas Public Information Act gives the public the right to request access to government information. It shall be the policy of the City of Liberty Hill to comply with the provisions of the Texas Public Information Act. The City of Liberty Hill shall also strive to provide excellent customer service in dealing with request from the public.

All information is collected, assembled or maintained by or for the City of Liberty Hill that is deemed public information under the Texas Public Information Act shall be made available to the public during normal business hours according to our policy.

the Texas Public Information Act applies only to information that already exists. The Texas Public Information Act provides certain exceptions to disclosure of information that is considered confidential by law. Some common examples of confidential information are:

1. Names, addresses, phone number of peace officers

2. Juvenile records

3. Certain personnel information

4. Pending Cases

A request for public information must be submitted via the above link, e-mail, mail, or in person. Request must provide the following information:

1. The requester’s name and address

2. The requester’s telephone number

3. A clear description of the information being sought

If the department contact cannot identify the records based on the request, the requester may be asked to clarify the request.
