The Planning and Zoning Commission hears and recommends matters relating to zoning, planning, or subdivision control as specified or required under the ordinance, the city charter, or the laws of the State of Texas.
The planning and Zoning Commission is composed of six members serving staggered two-year terms. The planning and Zoning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on rezoning requests, platting and subdivision of land within and in the ETJ of the City, changes to the Subdivision Regulations, request for variances, special exceptions, and changes and appeals to the Land Use Regulations. The commission also makes recommendations to the City Council on matters relating to the Comprehensive Plan and changes thereto.
